Course Description

Accommodation Operations Attendant Level 4 – Course Overview (Uwezo College)

Uwezo College offers the Accommodation Operations Attendant Level 4 course under the TVET-CDACC framework. This competency-based training program is designed to prepare learners for professional roles within the hospitality and accommodation industry. The course equips students with the practical skills, knowledge, and etiquette required to provide high-quality guest services in hotels, lodges, guest houses, and related establishments.

The curriculum is structured into two comprehensive modules, each addressing key operational areas within the accommodation sector:

  • Module 1 focuses on:

    • Front Office Operations – training learners on guest reception, reservations, check-in and check-out procedures, customer service, and telephone handling.

    • Laundry Services – covering laundering techniques, stain removal, sorting, pressing, folding, and maintaining fabric quality in line with hospitality standards.

  • Module 2 includes:

    • Housekeeping Operations – involving room cleaning procedures, replenishing guest supplies, safety and hygiene standards, and operational checklists.

    • Housekeeping Interior Decorations – teaching the skills of setting up guest rooms attractively through towel art, floral arrangements, bed presentation, and aesthetic enhancement techniques.

Training at Uwezo College is practical and industry-focused. Students use real equipment and simulate hospitality environments to build confidence and competence in performing their duties professionally.

To reinforce practical skills, learners are required to undergo a 320-hour industrial attachment in a hospitality or accommodation establishment. This hands-on experience ensures students are job-ready and familiar with real workplace expectations.

Graduates of this course are equipped for careers as guest house attendants, room stewards, housekeeping staff, or front office assistants.

At Uwezo College, we go Beyond Training, shaping hospitality professionals who combine skill, service, and excellence in every guest experience.
