About Uwezo College

What We Offer

Uwezo College offers various technical and business courses examined by KNEC, KASNEB and NITA. It is located in Machakos town and draws students mainly from Kenya students across the Country. Students are recruited through various marketing techniques but some are able to register with us as Self sponsored students through KUCCP website.

The college motto is beyond training as it aims to provide holistic training that would produce dependable professionals, strong in body, mind, spirit and character that will be agents of change in society. The overall objective is to unlock the potential within each student so that they can perform at the highest standard in the service of humanity.

Currently the College has eight disciplines/areas of training (link to courses);

1. Catering and hospitality
2. Hair dressing and Beauty
3. Social work and community development
4. Business management
5. Accounting
6. Information and Communication Technology - ICT
7. Building Technology (Masonry and Plumbing)
8. Engineering - electrical wiring, electronics and welding

Each area of training offers Professional courses that run from one year to three years to acquire a Diploma. In addition each course has short course tailored for job specific skills training that run for 3 months after which one goes for employment or internship and later they are encouraged to return and complete a professional course by sitting for National examination with bodies like KNEC, KASNEB or NITA depending on area of training.
