OTHER PROGRAMS

At Uwezo College, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of training in strict alignment with nationally and internationally recognized examining bodies. As a fully accredited institution for programs examined by KNEC, NITA, KASNEB, CDACC, and ICM, our primary objective is to guide all learners toward qualifications that carry formal recognition and long-term professional value. In line with this commitment, all our mainstream academic and professional programs require learners to sit for external examinations administered by the respective examining bodies. Uwezo College does not issue internal certificates for these programs, as certification is exclusively the mandate of the recognized external bodies. However, under the “Other Programs” category, we offer a range of short, skill-based courses designed to impart practical competencies within a limited duration. These programs are typically non-examinable by external bodies at the point of completion. For such courses, the College issues a Transcript of Training detailing the units covered and competencies attained. This approach is deliberate and structured. It allows learners who may later wish to pursue formal certification to present their transcript for possible exemptions, enabling them to complete only the remaining required units before registering for examinations with a recognized body. While these short courses serve as valuable entry points or skill enhancers, we strongly advise and prioritize enrollment into fully accredited programs that lead directly to certification by recognized examining bodies. This ensures that our graduates remain competitive, credible, and aligned with industry and regulatory expectations. Learners who opt for programs under this category do so with the understanding that certification is not issued by the College but may be pursued externally at a later stage. Certification and Course Selection Clause For short-term or skill-based ICT courses listed under “Other Programs,” the College shall issue a Transcript of Training upon completion. No internal certificate will be awarded for such programs. Where a student elects to undertake a short course that does not lead to external certification, the student acknowledges and understands that: a) The College will not issue a certificate upon completion of the course; b) The only official document to be issued shall be an academic transcript or completion record; c) The student has been duly advised on the advantages of enrolling in externally examined and certified programmes but has voluntarily opted for the short course; and d) The student accepts full responsibility for this choice and its implications on professional recognition and progression. By accepting this admission, the student confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to the above conditions. Uwezo College reserves the right to guide all learners toward programs that uphold academic integrity, regulatory compliance, and long-term professional advancement.
