Course Description for Diploma II ICT

Diploma Module II in Information Communication Technology (ICT)

Offered at Uwezo College in Accordance with the KNEC Diploma ICT Syllabus

The Diploma Module II in Information Communication Technology (ICT) is the second stage of the national Diploma in ICT programme and builds on the foundational competencies gained in Diploma Module I. The programme is examined and certified by Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) and is taught strictly in line with the official KNEC Diploma in ICT Module II syllabus.

At Uwezo College, Diploma Module II focuses on advanced programming, database management, networking, systems development, and ICT project implementation, equipping learners with strong technical and professional skills for employment and progression to the final diploma level.

 

Entry Requirements (As Per KNEC Guidelines)

To enroll for the Diploma Module II in ICT, a learner must have:

  • Successfully completed Diploma Module I in ICT (DICT 1) under KNEC, or
  • Any other equivalent qualification recognized by KNEC for progression to Module II.

This module is intended for learners who already have solid foundational ICT knowledge and are ready to advance to intermediate and applied ICT specializations.

 

Examining Body & Typical Duration

  • Examining Body: Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC)
  • Typical Duration: 12 months (1 academic year) depending on the mode of study and institutional calendar.

Assessment is conducted through continuous internal assessments, practical projects, and final KNEC national examinations.
